80th Anniversary of VJ Day
We recently marked the 80th Anniversay of VJ day.
At the corner of our local high street there is a dedicated war memorial and we took a nice stroll over there to pay our respects to those who had fallen.
We were one of the first to lay a wreath at the site and it was a beautiful moment.
Here we are, sat quietly paying our respects. It was a perfect time to reflect and say thank you to those who laid their lives on the line for us.
There were other veterans present all laying wreaths and reflecting on the trials and tribulations of war. It was lovely to be apart of such of special occasion and very important for our residents.
