Residents have spent their time sunning themselves this year!
There has been lots of interaction, reading, talking and just admiring the stunning gardens that have been maintained very well by Les and Collin. Residents have spent time with their families in the garden enjoying a cup of tea and sometimes lunch.
Les has grown organic vegetables throughout the summer, such as sweetcorn, runner-beans, sweet peppers and cape gooseberries. These have been picked, cooked, served up for meals and enjoyed by the residents and staff.
We have had our summer fete, entertainment, local trips to the park and shops, paddling pools to dip hot feet into and unsurprisingly ended up in a water fight between the staff much to the residents delight.
So as we bid farewell to summer 2013, we look forward to activities for autumn and winter.
